HOST TEAM MEMBER BANQUET
Job Summary:
The Banquet Server is responsible for interacting with and serving guests, while ensuring they have a great experience when dining at their event.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Greet guests, escort them to tables, provide menus, and add/remove place settings as required.
- Be knowledgeable on current menu options, specialties and menu deviations,
- Assist kitchen staff by supplying them with any items that may be running low
- Maintain and monitor the table bookings, direct guests to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, be observant of any food preparation details, and efficiently communicate the guest’s request to the cooks.
- Cultivate a proper dining experience by delivering items in a timely manner, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing any utensils, refilling glasses.
- Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table.
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
- Obtain revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
- Assist the kitchen for absent staff as needed.
- Assist with special events as needed.
- Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Understand and communicate products and services available at the hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 - 3 years of experience with the food service industry
- Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the hospitality industry
- Bilingual (Spanish)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for duration of shift (eight hours or longer)
- Ability to lift and/or move and/or push up to 25 pounds without assistance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 per hour

- Burbank, CA 91502: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
