The Department of Family Medicine in the Keck School of Medicine at USC is seeking an organized individual to serve as the Administrative Assistant with the USC Street Medicine administrative team. We are looking for a dynamic, organized, self-motivated individual. Duties include clerical and organizational support, including a high volume of meeting scheduling and financial transaction reconciliation.


The Street Medicine program provides full-service primary care to the unsheltered homeless population. All care is delivered where patients reside including under bridges and on the streets of LA County. There is no fixed-site clinic as clinical delivery is done via walking rounds with a pick-up truck and backpacks. With the vision that all unsheltered homeless in LA County have access to healthcare, the team is poised for another year of growth in the realm of clinical delivery, education/workforce development, research and advocacy.


Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm in person in Alhambra, CA office.


Duties for this position may include:

Administrative Assistance

Assists Program Director, Medical Director & Senior Clinical Administrator with calendar. Coordinates meetings for USC Street Medicine (prepares documents, orders food, reaches out to participants to organize, meeting minutes, distributes action items, room booking, Zoom/tech setup, as needed). Distributes announcements to faculty, staff, etc. as needed. Provides administrative support to USC Street Medicine (e.g., onboarding schedules, document and report drafts, PowerPoint, logistics and meetings for recruitment, coordinates evaluations) Supports the day-to-day activities of and with USC Street Medicine’s Senior Clinical Administrator. Assists with contract and clinical compliance per the Senior Clinical Administrator and Medical Director. Other duties as assigned by the Senior Clinical Administrator.

Financial Transactions

Processes and logs all financial transactions for USC Street Medicine (e.g., business cards, supplies and services, reimbursements, travel arrangements, POs, deposits, discretionary, continuing education, etc). Supports Senior Clinical Administrator with billing processes.

Special Programs

Provides back-up to Program Director and Senior Clinical Administrator for events.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree

Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Experience: 3 years

Minimum Field of Expertise: Specialized clerical, administrative and calendaring experience.

The hourly rate range for this position is $25.48 - $29.00.
