The position:
- Professional dog walker/pet sitter with the ability to also care for cats *
- We need the most help with weekday service but may have additional work opportunities on evenings and weekends.
- We service Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Kendall, Cutler Bay, and nearby communities.
- if you suffer from allergies to certain dog and cat breeds, you would not be assigned to care for those animals
Compensation:
- $17 / hour
- $400 - $1000 / monthly
- Performance reviews at three months and one year annually

The responsibilities:
- Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's pets.
- Follow the client-provided care instructions, including positive reinforcement-based training preferences.
- Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats.
- Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch.
- Communicate with staff via phone/text and photographs.
- Practice time management and contribute to the team effort by working as a team player.
- Operate your own safe/insured/consistently available personal vehicle. Drive from one client's residence to another in a safe and timely manner. You will be expected to drive safely and park in an urban environment.
The ideal candidate:
- An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate who can provide our client's dogs and cats with the highest quality visits possible. The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management. Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important.
- Special consideration for candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability. Dog walkers are expected to have some partial availability for major holidays, and you may work alternating weekends.
- This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their professional experience with dogs. Many staff members were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
