Lone Pine Brewing Company is currently seeking experienced candidates for the role of Tasting Room Ambassador to work in our tasting room locations.

A large part of working in the tasting room is being able to safely serve alcohol while being able to educate customers about the brewing process, beer they are drinking and the company. We work to create a friendly environment in which people want to hang out, enjoy our beer and feel like they can ask questions about the beer and brewery. A working knowledge of the brewing process is highly valued as well as a desire to learn more about beer styles and share that knowledge with customers. Lone Pine is looking for individuals that are committed to providing a high level of customer service and will prioritize our customers’ experience.

Lone Pine Brewing Company applicants must be:


  • Of legal age for alcohol consumption in the State of Maine
  • Experienced in relevant bar service
  • Intimately knowledgeable of craft beer and the craft beer industry
  • Well educated in brewing process, beer styles, and proper serving technique
  • Certified in relevant alcohol server training or have the willingness to acquire
  • Knowledgeable of draft line operations and maintenance
  • Self-motivated
  • Confident
  • Friendly
  • Flexible (Schedule-wise)
  • T.I.P.S certified /ability to get T.I.P.S certification


Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining a relaxed, yet exciting environment
  • Cleaning, care, and upkeep of the tasting room space
  • Product quality control
  • Sharing the story and experience of Lone Pine Brewing Company
  • Maintaining the operation and cleanliness of the tasting room draft system
  • Changing Kegs
  • Product organization and inventory
  • Accurately conveying product and company information to the customer
  • Properly representing Lone Pine Brewing by maintaining a passionate, expressive, and enthusiastic attitude

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a physically demanding position
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to safely lift cases/kegs of beer and supplies ranging from 30 – 165 lbs


Schedule:

  • Full Time positions require a minimum of 5 days (30+ hours) per week.
  • Part Time positions require a minimum commitment of 2-4 days (10-25 hours) per week.


Compensation:

  • $12 per hour, plus tips.
  • Tasting Room Ambassadors at Lone Pine participate in tip pooling.
  • This is a non-exempt full/part time hourly position.


Benefits:

Full Time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package. Lone Pine provides medical insurance, specifically available to you as an employee starting the first day of the month after your hire date. Lone Pine pays 60% of the cost for single coverage for full-time employees. Lone Pine also offers a free dental and vision plan, short term and long term disability policies, and life insurance policy. Tasting Room Ambassadors are eligible for sick time (Earned Paid Leave), sick time will accrue at a rate of one hour per 40 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 40 hours. Sick time is paid at your base hourly rate.

Part Time Tasting Room Ambassadors are eligible for sick time (Earned Paid Leave), sick time will accrue at a rate of one hour per 40 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 40 hours. Sick time is paid at your base hourly rate.
