Location: Harley-Davidson of Glendale
Working Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (overtime possible)
Job Description:
As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist at Harley-Davidson of Glendale, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless movement of our merchandise. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the overall success of our dealership operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspecting items for damage, accuracy, and quality.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting as needed.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Support occasional overtime as needed to meet business demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory records and communicating via email.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
