Position Overview
Idea Evolver is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vice President of Software Quality Assurance to join our Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading and managing a QA team, as well as a deep understanding of software development and testing methodologies. In this role, the Vice President of Software Quality Assurance will include the following responsibilities:
- Develop deep understanding of FDA and international standards regarding software verification and validation
- Define and execute the overall quality assurance strategy, aligning it with the company's business objectives and growth plans
- Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Establish and maintain QA processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality software delivery
- Collaborate with development, product, and other teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely resolution of defects
- Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in software quality
- Drive the implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 in a management capacity
- Proven track record of success in leading and managing a QA team
- Deep understanding of software development and testing methodologies
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
